John Behr, Dean of St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary, recently gave an address entitled The Shocking Truth About Christian Orthodoxy, rejecting the notion that Christian orthodoxy by necessity closes off pluralism and dialogue. Concisely drawing on some valuable material in early Church history, Behr puts forward the notion that it is the orthodox Christian Church that provided the forum for theological openness as opposed to the dogmatism of the heretics. His lecture comes highly recommended.
