Cambridge Conference on Music and Transcendence

British readers might be interested to know that a day conference on Music and Transcendence will be held on 29th November 2011. According to the Centre for Theology and Philosophy at the University of Nottingham, the conference will be interdisciplinary and feature the following keynote talks:

In the Beginning, There Was Improvisation: Responding to the Call by Prof Bruce Ellis Benson
Music and the Beyond: A Millennium of Witness by Prof Christopher Page
